Acquisitions

Te Papa’s Botany collection is continually expanding.  Specimens are acquired primarily via field-collections by staff, donations, and exchange with other herbaria.

Our priorities include seaweeds, bryophytes, plants from the southern North Island, and groups that we are researching (e.g., ferns, forget-me-nots).
