Overview
Te Papa holds more than 100 specimens of fossil plants collected from Waipaoa / Ormond, Gisborne. These were collected by Mr H Hill around 1910 and Mr M Ongley 1914-1916 and some of them were described by WRB Oliver in his 1928 paper The Flora of the Waipaoa Series (Later Pliocene) of New Zealand.
