Lovely fine morning. Drove Maud, Nancy + Clyde up Ohau Valley as far as pipe-bridge + children played on river-bed. Took 1/2pl[ate]. photos: (1) Rangiora in bloom (2) + (3) Nancy in river (posing) (4) Nancy on edge of pool, feet touching water (5) Clyde smiling (head + shoulders) (6) Clif fording river with team + dog. Weather turned cold + windy so we had to rush home. 1/4pl. photo (7) Clyde as at 5yrs old (with Guy Fawkes mask in hand) 1/2pl. (8) 2 Nature studies on one plate: - (a) birch twig with knob-like knot from spur of Mt. Dundas; (b) calcareous shell of fleshy-stalked barnacle. Printed + fixed batch of Seltona prints + in evening developed above photos.
