Showery morning. Very brilliant afternoon. Over to Cheslyn Rise – 1/4pl[ate]. photo (1) of pillar Cumulus cloud (nature study). Father, Clare, Aunts Kate + Edith + I drove out to Hokis in car, Mr. + Mrs. Sawtell + Mr. Ern. Franklyn + his two children, Clare + Kenneth, going with us in another car. Ern Sawtell + I had a bathe. 1/4pl. photos (2) group on beach (3) Mrs. Sawtell (4) Kenneth Afternoon at car near cottages. Home to milk, then back to Cheslyn Rise where we had a party in the evening. Present were: Mrs. Franklyn, Miss F, + Gordon F. Mr. + Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. Sawtell, Laurie, Aunt Nell, Uncle Bert, Enid, George Denton, Dulcie D. Aunts Edith + Kate, Father, Clare, Clif + Self. We had a rather jolly evening.
