A beautiful cloudless day. The following assembled to get in Father's fine crop of oats + [velches?] for hay from the 10 ac[re] p.[addock]: W Stewart, Grant, J Honore, Terry, George Broomfield, George Denton, Father, Cliff + I. we got in about 45 loads during the day, nearly finishing as far as the water-race. Took 2 ¼ pl[ate] photos of George + Marjorie’s cottage + garden. Maud drove down to station to get Gertie, leaving Clyde + Nancy at Stewarts.
