Swept kitchen chimney. Drove to Levin - took ½ pl[ate] photo of axle of Percy Prouse’s tractor showing flaws + broken casting. Put the exhibit of Tararua photos in one of W. M. Clark Ltd.’s windows + they attracted much attention all day, several people commenting on them favourably. Attended sale – very small yarding – several enquiries for my lambs + later I sold 60 of them to Ronald Law at 6/6, to be lifted on Friday next. Father took Ron + I to pm. tea + later Father + I selected five 1-foot pipes (earthenware + 2ft in length) in Country Councils yard for the new crossing in south west corner of eastern half of back 42. Carted pipes right to spot + took a load of firewood back to house.
