Over to Cheslyn Rise + Clif + I shore 11 woolly sheep, the wool having been brought by Father to complete a bale. Took ½pl[ate] photos (1) of group at Woodside, Miss Barraud, Hugh, Maud + Nancy, Clyde + Gertie. (2) Hugh + Miss Barraud. Drove Gertie down to 20 to 12 train en route for Auckland. In pm fixed water pipe leading to drinking place in little paddock by house to replace hose. In evening drove Maud down to Chautauqua leaving Hugh + Miss Barraud to keep house. Programme by McKenzie Concert Co – Warwick McKenzie was the best violinist I have heard yet + Miss Lo Desca Loveland sang splendidly – D. Loveland delivered an interesting lecture on present industrial questions + gave a resume of the Slave, Feudal + Wage Labour Systems. We sat in gallery of Century Hall, on which Chautauqua is being held this year + spent a pleasant evening. Cool night +
