Clifford drove Father’s 20 fat maiden ewes to Levin sale taking my 19 cull lambs with them. At Will Stewart’s request took a series of photos of men getting big rimu logs out of his bush for the sawmill, ½ pl[ate] (1) Jacking log on to lorry; (2) nearer view of the same. (3) Carting away the log; + (4) Sawing up the second tree after having felled. Drove down to sale + sold my lambs @ 5/1; Father’s ewes 12/5.

Afternoon tea with Father + he gave Ron Law + I an account of the first disbursement from Grandpa Denton’s estate – £10000 among 10 – each of us children’s share through Mother, ⅙ of £1000=£166 – this amount in War Certificates maturing in Aug. 1921 + Aug. 1922.
