Easter Monday. Stayed in bed till [sic] 11am reading “The Moonstone” by Wilkie Collins – great luxury. In pm I drove Maud + children down to the Aquatic Carnival at Lake Horowhenua – the affair was a bit of a frost but we had a fairly good time. ½ pl[ate] photo of Lake showing boats + part of crowd.
