Tyrone

Historic and traditional county of western Northern Ireland; area has been divided into four administrative districts since 1973; predominantly hilly descending in the east to Lough Neagh; Sperrin Mountains in the north; primarily agricultural with cattle and sheep farming and crops of barley, potatoes, flax, and turnips; small-scale manufacturing is also carried out here.
