Ottoman Empire

Islamic dynasty created by Turkish tribes in Anatolia in 1281. It was one of the most powerful states in the world during the 15th and16th centuries; it included Anatolia, Greece, the Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Egypt, North Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.
