Flanders

This region in Belgium consists of the territory now covered by the two provinces of Oost-Vlaanderen and West-Vlaanderen. It shares its name, culture, and historically its territory with the larger region now divided between Belgium and France that was a county of the Low Countries in the Middle Ages.
