Scandinavia

Area in northern Europe, including modern Denmark, Norway, and Sweden; the term is sometimes used to also include Finland, Iceland, and the Faeroe Islands. It was home to Norsemen Vikings, who raided the coasts of Europe and the British Isles from the 9th century. Much of the area was at times united.
