These framed watercolour's appear to be artists interpretations (commissioned by the Museum) of what Te Papa could look like when completed.
The drawings also feature in much of the Museum's information and publicity materials for the period.
They are probably commissions at least one of which was completed during July 1992. A number are not signed or dated at present it is not known whom most of the artists were. The artworks however are all labelled 'Creative Illustrations Ltd'.
