Campbell Island Snipe, Coenocorypha aucklandica perseverance Miskelly & Baker, 2010

Specimen | Part of Birds collection

Overview

This part skeleton contains the only Campbell Island snipe bones held by a museum. It is a part skeleton because the skull, leg and wing bones are part of the holotype skin and spread wing, and the vertebrae, pelvis and ribs are preserved in ethanol along with the soft tissues.
