This series includes reports sent to Hector and those drafted by Hector himself and Dr James Hector's observations of natural events.

Owing to both the diverse interests of Hector himself and the various demands made on his time information contained is of a very diverse nature.

When found this material was not arranged into any discernable order with some boxed with titles and other material distributed in the general unarranged sequences of Hectors Correspondence.
This therefore is an artificial series but one which attempts to marry Hectors original order (where identifable) with reasonable access.
