Kamakura Shrines

My dear Dr Hector,

I send by the ‘Kiwi’ advertised to leave here tomorrow evening the Two Japanese Shrines from the Temple of Kamakura they are said to be 500 years old and represent the original Buddha (surrounded by a Dragon and his descendants) I hope they will reach in good order but I think if I were you I should send a man specially on board to see to their removal.

We leave here for about a 10 months trip on the 17^th July – the route on way back from England we have not determined upon – either by Panama or India and Java.
