Overview
This photograph album is from a trip Lya Kleinmann took to Paris in 1937. Lya, born 27 March 1921, grew up in Vienna’s thirteenth district and as a teenager attended the local Girl’s High School. She studied English, Mathematics, Science, Psychology, Philosophy, Latin and French.
Lya travelled to Paris on a school trip to see the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne (International Exposition of Art and Technology in Modern Life). The photograph album contains photographs of Notre Dame, Sacré-Cœur, L’Arc de Triomphe, and other famous Paris landmarks. Also included are a few photographs of Lya and Eugenie in their national dress in June and July 1937.
