The following text is drawn from items in the file: The Beautiful and The Damned is inspired by the hedonistic 20’s era when women took on a new style. They cut their hair, smoked and drank. Their clothes skimmed their bodies in a new liberating silhouette that allowed them just as much freedom as their male counterparts. The look emancipates a mannish style which is then styled back with lavish deco underwear garments. Dresses can be layered over ¾ pants and silk camisoles over fine tee shirts. Beautiful canvas with scalloped hems and silk trims contrast ethereal light cottons and draped silk slips. Classic pin-tucking, pleating, silk trimming and pearl like buttons give the collection a vintage feel and contribute to each piece being collectible.
