Overview

This violin and case has long been recognised as one of the finest achievements of James Williamson, a highly-regarded New Zealand violin-maker. Mr Williamson won several international awards for his violins, and on his retirement he continued to make violins full-time. He is one of the very few New Zealand violin-makers to be the subject of entries in major international reference works.
