Overview
This is one of about 50 'Warrior' costumes made for performers at the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony in Auckland, 9 September 2011.
These performers were also known as 'Callers' as they blew pukaea (trumpets) during the ceremony inside the stadium and on the roof of the stadium.
Callers also blew pukaea before each of the 48 matches started (the sound was pre-recorded). They called the players out onto the field before the anthems of each country were played.
