This block printed silk chiffon evening gown was purchased by the donor from Fanny Buss' Christchurch studio. The dress became a favourite, and was worn to many diplomatic events and even appeared on Turkish television. The donor used to dress to discuss the influence of Maori culture and motifs on design in New Zealand.
