Overview
This puzzle made of 'Anchor' blocks is an early example of this type of toy which was first produced in 1880 and is still in production. It was designed to correlate with Friedrich Froebel's theories and the 'mental development of the young mind'.
The toy is a significant link to the childhood of the Lieber sisters and their Jewish German roots.
