This series containsdrawings and sketches [i.e. loose works on paper] by Theo Schoon.
A distinction between 'drawing' and 'sketch' has been maintained inthis series because, as Gerhard Rosenberg put it in his 1987 report on the archive, 'Theo used to sign with full name those he thought of as finished sketches'. 'Drawings' are thus finished works of art with a signature, while 'sketch' here indicates a work that is not signed.
