Overview
Gareth Farr is a leading New Zealand composer and percussionist. He has many personas: composer for screen and stage, percussionist, and drag artiste Lilith LaCroix. In 2006 Farr was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to music and entertainment.
Farr's 'drumdrag' event at Downstage was part of the Arts Culture programme which took place alongside the 2nd Asia Pacific Outgames, held in Wellington from 12 to 19 March 2011. Outgames was the biggest festival of LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex) sport and cultural events ever held in New Zealand. Over 1300 participants from 26 countries competed in 16 sporting competitions.
