Overview
This is a hand-stitched feather pelerine with a detachable collar.
The pelerine is trimmed with pheasant feathers stitched to a shaped buckram foundation padded with cotton batting. The pelerine features a red and green silk tartan patterned yoke, a gold-beige coloured silk twill 10 piece lining, and fastens at neck with two with metal hook and eye fastenings. The neckline bound with brown silk ribbon. The detachable feather collar rests on the cape described above. The hand stitched collar is trimmed with pheasant and peacock feathers. Feathers are secured with stitching to a buckram foundation which has a dark brown silk lining. The cape ties centre front neck with brown silk ribbon.
