Used for Mātauranga Māori terms. This controlled vocabulary is created and maintained by Te Papa. Many terms are included in AAT, LCSH, TGM or Ngā Upoko Tukutuku/Māori Subject Headings. IMPORTANT: For terms that DO NOT currently exist in following thesauri: AAT, LCSH, TGM or Ngā Upoko Tukutuku/Māori Subject Headings. These are CANDIDATE terms for submission by Te Papa to either the Getty Research Institute, Library of Congress or Te Whakakaokao for potential inclusion in their controlled vocabularies.
