Overview
Decorated, long-sleeved tunics worn as Christian eucharistic vestments. They fall to the knees and are worn over albs by deacons while priests wear chasubles and subdeacons wear tunicles. The term may also refer to similar garments worn as secular dress in the Roman Empire or by English kings, especially at coronations.
