cigarette boxes

Covered boxes of varying shape, similar to but smaller than cigar boxes, meant to be placed on a table, desk, or the like to hold cigarettes. For flat containers used to carry cigarettes, use "cigarette cases." For open cylindrical containers used to hold cigarettes, use "cigarette holders (containers)."
