Use for contemporary sculptural works that are composed of figures and objects arranged into a picturelike scene, which the viewer does not enter. For works that create surroundings that the viewer can enter, use "environments (sculpture)." For the silent, immobile arrangements of one or more costumed performers to reproduce a scene from art, drama, literature, history, or the imagination, use "tableaux (performances)."
