Overview

A type of fine white clay used to make tobacco pipes and fine earthenwares. May also specifically refer to a white lead-glazed faïence fine introduced by Jacques Chambrette at Lunéville (Lorraine) in 1748 and there also used unglazed for biscuit figures and groups.
