Clif + I continued shearing Father's ewe hoggets: Clif 32; Self 50. Received a kind + encouraging reply from Mr PG Morgan, Director NZ Geol[ogical] Survey to whom I wrote rebuff. Mr Morgan regards flat tops of my Horowhenua coastal plain formation as being the result of marine denudation. I decided to re-write my paper "Further Notes onHoro[whenua] Coastal Plain etc" complying as far as possible with the Referee's suggestions.
