Overview
This Spanish Civil War poster was produced for the Catalan government's propaganda department (Comissaria de Propaganda), which was established in October 1936.
The war broke out during summer in the middle of the harvest season. With the flight of many landowners, committees organised their land, equipment and crops to be pooled and utilised collectively.
