Decorative Badge

Example of a Wanganui Bowling Centre Past President decorative badge. Gold coloured metal badge with dark blue, light blue and mid blue enamel on the front. The badge is in the shape of a rugby ball. There is a gold edged dark blue enamel band around the outside with 'WANGANUI' in gold at the top and 'BOWLING CENTRE N.Z.' in gold around the bottom within the band. Around the inside of the band there is a thin gold edged light blue enamel band. In the middle of the badge there is a raised gold whaka with a Maori carved head in the middle of it with a plain gold metal sky on mid-blue enamel water. On the bottom of the badge there is a curved dark blue enamel banner with 'PAST PRESIDENT' in gold within it. Between the bottom of the badge and the bar there is a thin stripe of gold metal. On the back of the badge is a pin clasp and the edge of the bottom bar which has been welded on separately.
