Overview

Commemorative goblet: clear glass with a flat circular base, a short stem rising to a hollow ribbed bulbous knop which has been coloured red (either surface staining or red glass) with a flared bowl.

Decoration in the form of a commemorative inscription etched to upper edge: "TO COMMEMORATE THE ROYAL VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND 1949" followed by a mongram comprising the initials "G&E" enclosed by a wreath surmounted by a crown.
