Overview
In the side borders and throughout this feather cloak there are horizontal strips of orange kaka (parrot) feathers from under the wing; and green (neck), brown (back) and white (breast & belly) kereru (pigeon) feathers. In the main kaupapa (body of the cloak) there are also vertical strips of brown & white body feathers from a kahu (Australasian harrier hawk); and brown & cream matuku (Australasian bittern) feathers. The wool has been identified as merino sheep wool.
