Overview
Kete whiri with a flat base and flap.
This kete is woven from boiled harakeke (New Zealand flax) utilising traditional technique in the takitahi pattern. It has been woven with a flat base and features a flap that can be closed via a plaited muka (New Zeland flax fiber) thong and wooden button.
Three ply braided muka attached with decorative tassels has been utilised as a handle. This kete is lined with green cotton fabric.
