Overview
Any age is a good age to wear embroidered clothes. Both men and boys wore magnificently embroidered clothes during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Although, elaborate styling did not rub off easily on the very sober English, Victorian men's smoking caps were exceptions - women enjoyed the chance to experiment with embroidery styles.
