Overview
This bench file, by an unknown maker, was formerly owned by Henry J. Freeman, a jeweller and watchmaker in Wellington in the late nineteenth century. This is a triangular-shaped metal file with a broken point. It has a circular handle, that is bent near the end. There are no inscriptions. Files like this one were used to smooth away rough and sharp edges and other imperfections.
