Dave Hegglun made these small, lidded talismans to be held in the hand rather than worn as jewellery. He limited the amount of time he spent on design; this, he said, would allow ‘a piece to have its own say’.
Hegglun grew up in a world of ‘craftsmen carpenters’. He later became interested in myth, and how he might blend his own Celtic heritage with the traditions of the South Pacific.
