Bone Stone Shell: Eléna Gee
Among the metal debris and industrial flotsam and jetsam I keep, there should be accidental box forms. I will arrange the memories in these boxes … Then I will make the memories wearable, altering them as little as is necessary, a hole here, a cord there, just enough for convenience; as with memories.
Eléna Gee, Bone Stone Shell catalogue, 1988
Eléna Gee was the only Bone Stone Shell exhibitor to use man-made as well as natural, found materials in her work – a strong influence on later jewellers such as Lisa Walker.
