View looking up Invercargill road on which two brewery depots are in sight - Roope & Co. depot is on the left and the McGavin & Co. depot is on the right. Postcard is addressed to "Mr W. Anderson c/o Freezing Works Mataura". There is a short message on the front "I don't think this is beer on the bridge. I think it is only water." There is a long message on the rear of the postcard asking if the recipent is coming "down for the British footer match".
