Overview

Postcard contains two separate oval images. The image on the left is entitled "Wairoa Geyser, Rotorua, NZ" and shows a cloud of steam coming from the geyser under the watchful eye of a crowd of onlookers. The image on the right is entitled "The Lost White Terraces" and is a view from across the water of a section of the White Terraces, which were destroyed by the 1886 Tarawera eruption. The following text, in keeping with Auld Lang Syne, has been written on the front of the postcard, it is as follows :- A New Year Greeting most sincere To you I now am sending To voice the old wish most dear Prosperity unending.
