Description of back of the card: THE WANGANUI RIVER is one of the most deligthful rivers in New Zealand - it is called the Rhine of New Zealand. It is a great place for tourists and the scenery is suberb. Maori life is seen on both banks of the river. The picture depicts a tourist steam boat shooting the rapids which are very frequent in parts of the river.
