Overview
Depicts the shore of Mokoia Island on Lake Rotorua, with 'Hinemoa's Bath' visible in the foreground at left. There are two Maori women in the right foreground of the image, looking at the photographer - one is seated, and the other stands next to her. On the lake edge behind them is a second group of people, which includes two Maori men posing as if about to box, three other Maori people standing nearby, and a European man in a suit and bowler hat. The shore is grassy and edged by rocks in the forground, covered in bush in the background.
