Overview
This badge features a design by Ursula Kortner which was originally created for the West Auckland Peace Group in 1982. In the image, a rainbow falls into the sea against the hills of Titirangi and West Auckland.
It became such a popular design that generic wording 'Nuclear Weapon Free Zone' was added to the stickers and badges which were produced by the New Zealand Nuclear Free Zone Committee led by Larry Ross based in Christchurch who promoted and mailed them out throughout the country and around the world.
