Overview
This badge carries the logo of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in the shape of the iconic giant panda from China.
WWF was established in 1961 to help save the world’s wildlife. WWF-New Zealand was established in 1975.
In 1985, WWF became World Wide Fund for Nature, but kept its acronym to avoid confusion.
WWF has always used the giant panda for its logo, which has been adapted slightly over the years. This is the original version dating back to 1961.
