Overview
This badge belonged to peace activist Barry Mitcalfe (1930-1986) who was the first chair of the Wellington Committee on Vietnam in 1965. After the war ended, he became a leader in the anti-nuclear movement in Aotearoa New Zealand.
In 1981, Mitcalfe was a writer-in-residence at the South Australia College of Advanced Education in Adelaide, and would have acquired the badge from the local anti-nuclear movement.
