Close-up view of the ruins of Nan Madol on Pohnpei Island, Semiavine (Seniavina) Group, Caroline Archipelago. The ruins are of an old building made of basaltic rock possibly an ancient temple. Stone ruins at Ponape, this image appears in Moss' 1889 book opposite page 193 (Moss 1889: 192-204). Photograph taken in 1886.
