Inside Church, Nieue [sic]

Interior view of the church at Alofi showing matting on the floor and large exposed beams made from palm logs. This church is made of coral stone with a thatched roof, the building is ninety feet in length and twenty-five feet wide. This image appears opposite page 11 in Moss' 1889 book, the photograph was taken over the period of 7 October 1886 - 9 October 1886 (Moss 1889: 10-15).
